Pendrive Management |
In locations where communication wiring is impractical, or communications with a particular device are lost, the vPod can operate in a stand-alone fashion.
Punches and templates are downloaded to the pendrive
at the device location, as described in the USB
Management section of the vPod Setup Manual, and brought to an internet-connected
PC.
Note
If newly enrolled employees are included in the pendrive data, their Reader ID must be linked to their actual Vision/Vault ID number (Link Templates function) so that subsequent T&A transactions (Shift Start, Shift End, etc.) are associated with the employee.
Pendrive UploadsOnce punches and templates are downloaded to the pendrive at the device location, an authorized user can upload the data to Val Link, either directly from the Pendrive (by placing the pen drive into the USB port on the authorized user's PC) or from files retrieved from the Pendrive and sent from a remote location.
1. Select the source Device of the pendrive data from the drop-down list.
